Description
The estate has two houses: Casa Asunción I and Casa Asunción II, which share the outdoor areas and the swimming pool.
It was originally a fruit canning factory founded in the middle of the 19th century by the Spanish merchant Máximo Cutillas. The house was extended with a first floor in 1892 to coincide with the birth of Asunción, one of nine children in the family, most of whom emigrated to America. Years later, Asunción's husband, Dr. Luján, converted it into a place for leisure, recreation and housing for later generations of the Cutillas family. The current owners, in homage to their ancestors, have converted it into a cosy rural tourism house, full of history and memories, conserving many elements of the old construction, including the old millstone in the garden and the cistern converted into a viewpoint. The 400m building houses two rooms. The presence of many objects that have been used by its inhabitants for two centuries, lovingly and carefully preserved, give the room a feeling of contact with the daily life of the island in ancient times.
